Federal-Mogul Corp.’s line of Fel-Pro PermaTorque MLS multi-layer-steel performance head gaskets is now available for 12 additional engine combinations.
The additions include a broad range of Chevrolet LS-based, LSX and World Articles Warhawk blocks. The gaskets were developed with the input from engine builders in NASCAR, NHRA, IHRA and other racing series.
Each gasket is composed of multiple layers of full-hard stainless steel, precisely engineered sealing beads and advanced polymer coatings. The company says these materials maintain contact pressure between the cylinder head and block despite the extreme horizontal and vertical casting motion encountered in many high-performance engine applications.
Each head gasket also features the Fel-Pro brand’s LaserWeld stopper layer, which helps maximize combustion sealing by precisely controlling the compression of each gasket’s multiple layers.
