Technician training offers many benefits, including fewer returns

Oct. 12, 2016
When you put a focus on automotive training, technicians learn the right way to use auto parts, which in turn can lower return rates.

Tschanen Brandyberry, special projects editor for the UBM Americas Automotive Group, wrote a blog, “Automotive Training Can Solve Part of Your Auto Parts Return Problem.”

There is a cause and effect relationship in the automotive aftermarket between technician training and auto parts that need to be returned to suppliers.

The more training that technicians receive, the better they will get at ordering the correct parts and installing those parts properly.

So as training of employees increases, not only will the quality of their work improve, but parts return rates will go down. This is a double positive for repair shop owners.
