Auto techs say part quality is at the top of their want list

July 29, 2016
Auto technicians say auto parts quality is the most important part characteristic, followed by brand, performance and availability.

Bruce Adams, managing editor of Aftermarket Business World, wrote a blog, “Parts quality is top priority for auto technicians.” The blog examines the 2016 Aftermarket Business World Technician Attitude Study that asked technicians about their parts buying habits and preferences.

The quality of the auto part was the most important characteristic that they consider. Other important characteristics include brand, performance and availability. The blog also discusses where techs tend to buy auto parts, who their preferred suppliers are, and who those suppliers are preferred.
