Standard Motor Products releases 213 new parts for Standard, Intermotor

The Standard Motor Products release spans 49 product categories and expands coverage through the 2016 model year with more than 100 million additional vehicles in operation (VIO).

Standard Motor Products (SMP) announced the addition of 213 new part numbers to its Standard® and Intermotor® lines. The release spans 49 product categories and expands coverage through the 2016 model year with more than 100 million additional vehicles in operation (VIO).

SMP continued to make expansions to its diesel program, with the introduction of a diesel fuel injection harness, diesel fuel transfer pump, and diesel glow plug wiring harness, among others. The company also added 15 turbochargers, including both new and remanufactured units for gas and diesel applications.

SMP made key additions to its sensor category, as well, introducing 75 new sensors covering 34 million VIO. Highlights include ABS speed, accelerator pedal, ambient air temperature, crankshaft, knock, steering angle, and transmission oil temperature sensors. Other notables include 58 power door lock actuators and 10 fuel vapor canisters.

Phil Hutchens, Vice President Engine Management Marketing, SMP, commented on the new items, stating, “Our latest release demonstrates our commitment to giving our customers increased coverage and superior quality in key categories such as diesel, turbochargers, sensors, and switches.”
