What influences consumers to buy auto parts?

July 13, 2016
While price is an important consideration when buying auto parts, most consumers say they are more influenced by recommendations.

Bruce Adams, managing editor of Aftermarket Business World, wrote a blog, “Auto parts consumers influenced by recommendations, price.” The blog is based on a consumer study conducted by Aftermarket Business World magazine.

It discusses the relationship between auto parts prices and consumer purchasing habits. While three-fourths of consumers admit to comparing prices while shopping for auto parts, in 10 of 12 product categories lowest price was not the most important reason for their purchase.

It also takes a look at other factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions and what factors drive their repurchase decision.
