The CARSTAR MO-KAN Group — made up of 14 CARSTAR locations throughout Kansas and Missouri — recently came together to host the 30th Annual MO-KAN Invitational Charity Golf Tournament, according to a press release.
On June 15 at the Adams Pointe Golf Club, this year’s event achieved $10,000 in funds for the Kansas City chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, nearly matching the amount raised the year prior. This year alone, the CARSTAR MO-KAN Business Group has raised more than $55,000 in total for cystic fibrosis.
Funds were raised through registration costs, selling sponsorships, and an interactive raffle. After an afternoon of golfing, lunch and a party were held for attendees.
“I am incredibly honored to have worked alongside my community for three decades to collectively raise funds and give back to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” stated M.J. Alaga, owner of CARSTAR Crystal 135th Street and CARSTAR Crystal Lenexa. “This effort would not have been possible without the selfless support of our community and our driven team across Missouri and Kansas.”
