CARSTAR wins Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Rising Star Award

CARSTAR has shown an increased dedication to its cystic fibrosis fundraising across the U.S., earning Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s national Rising Star Award.
CARSTAR, North America’s leading provider of premier collision repairs, has shown an increased dedication to its cystic fibrosis fundraising across the U.S., earning Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s national Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star award is given annually to a corporate supporter who has demonstrated increased or expanded participation and fundraising efforts for cystic fibrosis (CF) in the year. This award was established in 2010 and over the course of the past eight years; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation had the opportunity to recognize companies like UNUM Insurance, Bank of America, CISCO Systems, Inc., ARRIS Communications and now CARSTAR. “We are grateful for CARSTAR’s enthusiasm and dedication to raise funds, awareness and help advance the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” says Elizabeth Thompson, Senior Director for National Corporate Engagement, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “CARSTAR is steadfast in their efforts to support the cystic fibrosis cause across North America and we cannot wait to accelerate this momentum. It is because of companies like CARSTAR, we believe that one day CF will stand for cure found.”

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was pleased to present CARSTAR with the Rising Star Award at the Foundation’s 2019 Volunteer Leadership Conference. A longstanding Driven Brands leader and CARSTAR champion, Hannah Ross, Senior Marketing Director for CARSTAR, accepted the award on behalf of CARSTAR and its franchise partners across the U.S.
“My experience at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 2019 Volunteer Leadership Conference was one of the most rewarding experiences of both my personal and professional life,” says Hannah Ross, Senior Marketing Director for CARSTAR. “It was so empowering hearing the stories of those affected by CF and being around other likeminded companies who are passionate about this cause. Our Canadian counterparts have been fundraising for this cause for over 20 years and the more our U.S. franchise partners and corporate leaders get involved, the more we understand why.
CARSTAR began fundraising for cystic fibrosis in Canada over 20 years ago, when a franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis. Since then, the CARSTAR commitment to its charity of choice has only grown, as have the funds raised. Passing the $3 million threshold for funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2016, CARSTAR now has nearly $3.7 million raised in Canada and looks to continue accelerating its fundraising momentum in the U.S.
