Hankook currently markets Passenger Car, Light Truck and Medium Duty Truck and Bus tires in the United States under the Hankook and Aurora brands. The addition of the Kingstar brand will boost Hankook’s tire sales in the United States and give consumers an additional choice in the value tire segment.
“With more consumers shopping the value tire segment our Kingstar brand will help provide them with the products they are looking for,” said Soo Il Lee, President, Hankook Tire America Corp. “Along with the Hankook and Aurora brands, the Kingstar brand will allow us to strengthen our overall market share in the United States.”
Two Passenger Car tires will be marketed throughout the United States under the Kingstar brand; the Ultra-High Performance Road Fit SK10, available in 15 through 18 inch sizes, and the Passenger Touring Centum SK72, available in 13 through 16 inch sizes. The Kingstar brand has previously only been available in Europe and South America. Additional future Kingstar product for the U.S. market will include light truck tires.
