According to Fred Koplin, the tire maker’s director of marketing communications, sponsorship elements include Yokohama signage around the track, company ads in the racing programs, corporate logos posted on the facility’s website, public address announcements during major events and display space at the track during races. The sponsorship also includes membership in Infineon’s Sustainable Partnership Program.

“This is one of the great benefits we receive for working with Infineon,” says Koplin. “We both have a long commitment to environmental sustainability, and their Accelerating Sustainable Performance summits bring together the best in emerging technologies and progressive efforts from divergent groups such as racers, fans, the motorsports industry at large and science. It is an ideal partnership.”

“Our relationship with Yokohama continues to grow in a variety of positive directions,” says Steve Page, Infineon’s president and general manager.

“Their dual commitments to performance and sustainability are perfectly in tune with our mission for this facility,” he explains. “Together, we can take a leadership position in our industry.”

Located in the Sonoma Valley, Infineon is Northern California’s premier motorsports destination, featuring a world-class road course, drag strip and karting center, according to Page.

Its annual race schedule is headlined by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series and the IndyCar Series.

In addition, the site boasts a motorsports industrial park, which serves as home to more than 70 businesses, including the Simraceway Performance Driving Center.
