This bulletin involves 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, reprogramming the radio frequency hub module (RFHM) with the latest calibration. This applies to vehicles built on or before July 26, 2015.

The customer may comment that when the start/stop button is pressed, a “Key Not Detected” message is displayed in the instrument cluster; and/or if the plastic edge of the key is pressed and held against the stop/start button, a “Key Not Detected” is displayed. Note: the lock/unlock functions normally.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, first verify that all systems are functioning as designed. Address any unrelated issues first before proceeding.

Remove fuse 51 (RFHM) located in the PDC (power distribution center) and wait for 30 seconds. Re-install the fuse to its original position. Verify that all RFHM functions are normal (ignition can go to ACC, Run or Start). Reprogram the RFHM with the latest software. Clear all DTCs.
