Nearly 9,000 Freightliner Cascadia trucks recalled due to fire risk

The model year 2015-16 Cascadia trucks are being recalled because there is concern that the Bergstrom Parksmart HVAC units in them may overheat.

Approximately 9,000 Freightliner Cascadia trucks have been recalled voluntarily due to a problem that could increase the risk of fire.

The model year 2015-16 Cascadia trucks are being recalled because there is concern that the Bergstrom Parksmart HVAC units in them may overheat. 

Owners of the vehicles, which were manufactured between March 24, 2014 and Nov. 9, 2015, will be notified by Daimler in May.
