Publishing and Prizes

Introducing our new publisher, and the 2012 Great Prize Giveaway!

While I have not been in the forefront of the magazine yet, I have been behind the scenes of the operation for the past 9 years as the Associate Publisher.  I am excited to write to you for the first time in my new role as Publisher of Professional Tool & Equipment News.  In my previous role I worked closely with the tool and equipment manufacturers to deliver the latest tools and equipment to you each month.  I worked directly with shop owners to better understand your business and I also spent time with key suppliers to the industry.   This time invested taught me that having the right tools and equipment increases your efficiency on the job and that having access to professional repair information is critical.

Our previous publisher Larry Greenberger has been promoted within the company, but his vision and guidance have made it easy for me to understand my new role as Publisher.  I began my professional career on staff with PTEN, so this is where my loyalties lie.  Thus, you the readers of PTEN have my vow to always put you first, and to present you with the best publication for learning about the industry’s newest and most innovative Tools and Equipment.

I began my professional career on staff with PTEN, where I’ve learned more about tools and equipment than anyone outside of this profession would believe. Our previous publisher Larry Greenberger has been promoted within the company, but his vision and guidance have made it easy for me to understand my new role as publisher.  That said, you, the readers of PTEN, have my vow to always put you first, and to present you with the best publication for learning about the industry’s newest and most innovative tools and equipment.

As a technician, you take pride in your tool collection, especially your toolbox (Big-Time Boxes is one of our most-read features every month, check out page 62 to see this month’s feature).  That’s why I take great pride in introducing our first annual Great Prize Giveaway, in partnership with our sister publication Fleet Maintenance and hosted on our official PTEN website (www.vehicleservicepros.com).  This issue is packed full of awesome prizes you can win!  No obligation or cost to play, just visit vehicleservicepros.com each day and enter to win the prizes of your choice.

I look forward to every opportunity to connect with the readers of PTEN and I invite you to contact me anytime.  We need to hear from you so we can continue to provide you with the best tool news for your business. [email protected] or 920-568-8364 to reach me.
