He explains and evaluates the three synergies – revenue, cost and financial – that companies should enjoy during a merger or acquisition. If the synergies cannot be identified and quantified, than the acquisition does not make financial sense. He cites as examples recent aftermarket deals and explains the synergies that they aim to achieve.
