NSF International's Frayer earns ABPA Chairman Award

ABPA awarded Bob Frayer of NSF International its prestigious Chairman’s Award for his leadership.
The Automotive Body Parts Association (ABPA) recently awarded Bob Frayer of NSF International its prestigious Chairman’s Award for his leadership and NSF International’s commitment to increasing the number of tested and certifiedautomotive collision replacement parts available in the market. Bob Frayer (Director of NSF International’s Engineering Laboratory)oversees NSF’s Automotive Collision Certification Programs, which include parts certification through which he and other NSF engineers independently evaluate and compare the form, fit and function of aftermarket parts to original equipment (OE) parts. The program helps ensure that collision parts meet quality, safety and performance standardsthrough rigorous facility audits and parts testing. He also oversees the Automotive Collision Parts Distributor Certification Program, which certifies distributors who sell automotive collision parts. “We are honored to recognize the achievements of Bob Frayer and NSF International for their dedication to continually advance the aftermarket automotive parts industry,” said ABPA Chairman Dan Morrissey. “NSF and ABPA are dedicated to protecting public health and safety as well as to helping ensure the safety and performance of aftermarket auto parts,” said Frayer. “We want to help make sure the highest quality parts are available to collision repair professionals.” Frayer has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. This includes managing research facilities, the development of new products and service offerings and directing a staff of highly respected professionals. Frayer is an active member of several industry organizations including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
