I-CAR commemorates National Volunteer Week

April 15 – 21 is National Volunteer Week and I-CAR is using this opportunity to remind the collision industry that their training is made possible through an extensive network of volunteers.

Through the commitment of its volunteers, I-CAR® has been able to deliver timely and relevant collision repair training to local areas across the United States since 1979.

April 15 – 21 is National Volunteer Week and I-CAR is using this opportunity to remind the industry that their training is made possible through this extensive network of volunteers, and to thank all of our volunteers for their commitment to driving excellence in the collision inter-industry.

Established in 1974, National Volunteer Week recognizes the millions of volunteers who donate their time and energy
to volunteerism throughout the year. To celebrate the dedication and hard work of I-CAR Volunteers, I-CAR would like to recognize all of its committee members, especially those that have exceeded their defined yearly goals.

Jeff Peevy, I-CAR Senior Director of Field Operations and Segment Development said, “What I-CAR is today is an
output of the hard work and passion brought forth by our volunteers. Thank you to the volunteers and committees who enable I-CAR to deliver on its vision - that every person in the collision industry, current and future, has the necessaryknowledge and skills relevant to their position to achieve a complete and safe repair.”

I-CAR Committees are charged with a set of core goals each year and additional “stretch goals”, and when achieved,
are recognized for their accomplishments. To download a full listing of the committees that earned recognition in 2011

  • Gold Committees - reached 100% student training goal and met five additional goals
  • Silver Committees - reached 100% student training goal and met four additional goals.
  • Bronze Committees - reached 100% student training goal and met three additional goals.
  • Blue Ribbon Committee - reached 100% of student training goal.
