Daimler Trucks North America inaugurates 10th parts distribution center

Nov. 19, 2019
The PDC, located in Goodyear, Arizona, enables DTNA to fulfill 90 percent of all dealer part orders in under 12 hours.

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) recently held a grand opening for its 10th parts distribution center (PDC), launched earlier this fall. Located just outside of Phoenix, the 268,000 square-foot facility stocks more than 10,000 parts and serves over 130 DTNA dealers in the Southwest region.

“As part of our strategy to get closer to our customers and dealer partners, DTNA identified the southwest United States as the best location for its next stage of expansion,” said Jay Johnson, general manager, aftermarket supply chain for Daimler Trucks North America. “After an exhaustive search throughout the Southwest, we determined that the Phoenix metropolitan area offers a great combination of benefits: proximity to our customers and dealers, a strong workforce, and ease of doing business.”

The facility supports DTNA’s long-term vision of elevating the customer experience by enabling DTNA to fulfill 90 percent of all dealer part orders in under 12 hours. With the addition of the Goodyear location, DTNA has invested more than $100 million in its PDC network over the past five years. Recent PDC openings in Dallas, Des Moines, Indianapolis, and now Goodyear, are enabling DTNA to move ever closer to its goal of 24-hour turnaround for vehicle repairs in an effort to maximize uptime.
