1-800-Radiator, a franchise distributor of aftermarket cooling parts, has 11 start-up franchise locations for sale in North America.

The company has 244 franchise locations with owner-operators servicing targeted geographical areas. Plans are to grow to no larger than 255 sites, the company said.

United States opportunities are available in: Elizabeth, N.J.; Lafayette, La.; Macon, Ga.; Scranton, Pa.; and Youngstown, Ohio. Opportunities also are available in Canada.

"The automotive aftermarket is an excellent opportunity in today's economy," says 1-800-Radiator CEO Mike Rippey. "With the slowdown in new car sales, more miles will be put on cars that people are holding onto which translates into a greater market for part repair and replacement. Radiators will be sold, because they are a necessary item, not a luxury."

1-800-Radiator sells radiators, condensers, fan assemblies, gas tanks, heating cores and other new automotive parts. Franchisees do not need to have knowledge about cars or auto mechanics. Owners do not install radiators or other parts, but sell and deliver them to general automotive repair shops, body shops, new car dealers, salvage yards and individual do-it-yourselfers. The company has more than 80,000 wholesale accounts including companies such as Kragen, AutoZone, Napa, Pep Boys and U-Haul.
