Polk to offer aftermarket insight during AAPEX, SEMA shows

Presentation to include both economic and demographic influencers on the aftermarket.

Polk executives will share key automotive aftermarket insight as part of the upcoming Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. Polk presentations will include insight based on Polk's unique perspective and broad expertise in both the OEM and aftermarket segments of the industry.

Tim Rogers, Polk president, will kick-off the annual Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) Town Hall meeting with an update on five current trends Polk has identified that will impact the automotive aftermarket in the coming years. Rogers' presentation will take place Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7 a.m. in the Venetian Hotel's Venetian Ballroom.
Later in the day, Mark Seng, vice president, aftermarket and commercial vehicle, and Polk's global aftermarket practice leader, will provide further insight into the leading aftermarket trends and discuss how they are impacting the North American automotive aftermarket. In addition, Seng will address changes in the vehicle mix and offer insight on the key influencers – both economic and demographic – that are shaping this important segment. Seng's presentation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to noon in Marco Polo Rooms 701-706 at the Venetian Hotel, Venetian/Palazzo Congress Center Level 1.
Scott Huston, aftermarket key account manager for Polk, will participate in SEMA's Hot Topics for 2013 panel discussion from 1 - 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, the Las Vegas Convention Center, room N255. He will share insight into vehicle, powertrain and tire size trends in both import and domestic passenger cars and light trucks.
Pat Reininger, global practice leader for aftersales at Polk will join other industry leaders in the forum titled Vehicle Technology: the Race to Innovate – The Future of Performance and Customization. The discussion will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Grand Lobby, Vehicle Technology Center at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Reininger will share how consumer technology developments are influencing vehicle design and technology trends and address the industry's response to the aggressive growth in this area of the market.
In addition to the executive presentations, Polk's suite of aftermarket solutions for the passenger and commercial aftermarket will be featured during the AAPEX Show, Booth #825 at the Sands Expo Center Oct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2012 in Las Vegas.
