Mobile Distributor Supply (MDS) has launched an independent internet and catalog business with an alternative way to buy automotive tools and equipment. MDS was built from the ground up exclusively for mobile distributors by mobile distributors. Founded by former franchisees, the service experts at MDS aren't just sales people. They are industry experts who know the business and the tools and equipment that customers ask for.
Unlike other independent companies, Mobile Distributor Supply is not trying to be all things to all people. "Our intent is to service the mobile distributor exclusively and never to sell direct to the end users or wholesalers." says Senior Product Manager, Marty Kulbeth. "We know the distributor's reputation and livelihood depend on the products they sell, that's why we are offering only the most professional quality products at better than standard prices." Although there are many established tool and equipment companies, MDS intends to offer overall higher margins and better service than the competition. "At MDS, our goal is to put the distributor in the best position to be successful," Kulbeth continued. "That includes: better customer service, reliable deliveries and higher margins. If we do that then we will be successful."
Starting as an online and phone service business, MobileDistributorSupply.com was launched in January 2012. The website was designed with a unique style and organization that make shopping and purchasing easier for the distributor. Developers wanted the website to be uncluttered and easy to navigate. A monthly promotions catalog was added to the program in February and is currently being mailed to all distributors. Additional promotions are offered to approved customers through the Weekly Dealer Deals eBlasts and more programs, like a customer loyalty program will be added this summer.
The new business is being launched with an extensive advertising campaign including; direct mail, print advertising and an ecommerce campaign. Advertising is centered around the Mobile Distributor Supply truck which is supposed to symbolize the union between the new company and the mobile distributors they service.
