VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 35 - Hadley and electronic height control systems

Aug. 6, 2013
A discussion with Hadley of the issues associated with cranking landing gear in coupling with trailers.

Fleet Maintenance editor David A. Kolman visits with Bob Zirlin, director of marketing for Hadley, a supplier of components and solutions for the Class 5 to 8 vehicle market. They talk about the issues associated with cranking landing gear in coupling with trailers found at many different ride heights, and how the company's new SmartValve electronic height control system for tractors has been designed to deal with those issues.

Kolman and Zirlin touch upon the differences between mechanical and electronic height control systems, and the time, effort and maintenance savings that can be achieved with the electronic versions.
