VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 97 - Roadside Tire Service

Jan. 13, 2016
Matt Knittel, a heavy duty representative with Hunter Engineering, talks about the typical issues associated with roadside tire service, and the challenge of properly outfitting a roadside service vehicle.

Always troublesome for any fleet, regardless of size and type, is unexpected downtime, particularly for roadside tire service. So says Matt Knitul, a heavy duty representative with Hunter Engineering, a manufacturer of state-of-the-art alignment systems, wheel and tire service, brake service and inspection lane equipment.

A reason for this is that there is no “industry model” for outfitting a roadside tire repair service truck.

Hunter Engineering recently came up design considerations for outfitting a heavy duty mobile on-site service tire truck.

Hunter doesn’t offer mobile tire service trucks, but rather, will help with a company equip one for its application and needs.
