TRP offers complete line of aftermarket HVAC parts

TRP offers a complete line including condensers, compressors, heater cores, receiver dryers, blower motors and air compressor clutches.

Operators of all makes of trucks and buses can depend on TRP HVAC replacement parts for reliable, efficient performance. TRP offers a complete line including condensers, compressors, heater cores, receiver dryers, blower motors and air compressor clutches.

"Truck operators spend a lot of time behind the wheel, so maintaining a consistent and comfortable cab temperature is important for driver productivity, health and safety," said Jeff Hughes, TRP development manager.

TRP's heating, ventilation and air conditioning system components are engineered and tested to be efficient and environmentally friendly. All of TRP's HVAC replacement parts are manufactured and tested to meet or exceed industry standards.

Receiver dryers

The receiver dryer is designed to store excess refrigerant, filter out contaminants and absorb moisture.

"Anytime the HVAC system is opened, you should replace the truck's receiver dryer. Once the system has been opened, it becomes too easy for the receiver dryer to get saturated with moisture. A saturated dryer will cause acid build-up in the A/C system, which will often cause a plugged expansion valve and a possible seized compressor," Hughes said.

TRP receiver dryers feature a spring-loaded design that keeps desiccant under pressure. This prevents desiccant from moving around and becoming pulverized into a finer powder and escaping from the dryer. Loose desiccant can clog orifice tubes and expansion valves and eventually contaminate the compressor.

"It is also important that the canister is the right size. If the canister is too small, the flow of refrigerant is restricted, resulting in poor performance. Too large and the system won't cool properly. TRP receiver dryers have an amount of desiccant that's appropriate for the intended application," Hughes said.

Blower motors

The TRP HVAC program also features replacement blower motors that operate to industry specifications, ensuring the windshield defrosts quickly and completely. "Blower motors fail slowly over time, limiting visibility in the corners and edges of the windshield as airflow is reduced.  TRP blower motors are spec'd with high quality components to ensure 5,000 to 15,000 hours of operation versus many in the market that offer only 1,000 to 2,000 hours," Hughes said.

The performance and power supply of TRP blower motors match those on original blower motors, so they last as long as the motors they replace and produce the same amount of airflow. TRP blower motors also include radio frequency interference protection.

"Since the specifications for the shaft, case, insulation and rotation are the same as the OEM parts, operators don't have to replace the blower wheel or make other costly system modifications when installing a TRP blower motor," Hughes said.

Heater cores

TRP heater cores provide strong, consistent heating by using a "blend-air" system for temperature control. "This is a design that's been used successfully for years in the automotive industry," Hughes said. The blend-air system eliminates the need for a water valve to regulate coolant flow through the heater core.

TRP heater cores are made of aluminum alloy, so they're strong and lighter weight, a key consideration for truck and bus operators watching their vehicles' weight.

HVAC compressors

"When truck operators need to replace their HVAC compressors, they should use TRP," Hughes said. "The compressor is the heart of the HVAC system, so quality should never be compromised when replacing it. TRP compressors use the highest quality components to ensure the longest life."

"Whatever their make or model, truck and bus operators can depend on TRP for quality HVAC replacement parts," Hughes said.
