Chris Andros, 17, and Matt Montalvo, 18, two seniors at Florida's Eau Gallie High School took top honors at the Universal Technical Institute's (UTI) second annual Top Tech Challenge held in Orlando on January 31.

The pair beat out 22 other students from seven Central Florida schools during the course of the three-hour competition.

The winners each secured a $1,000 scholarship to UTI. They also won a $5,000 custom toolbox and a $2,000 voucher for Snap-on tools for future automotive students of Eau Gallie High School's Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair program.

Both winners strive for careers in the automotive industry - Montalvo has set his sights on being a crew chief for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and Andros would like to open his own automotive repair shop. He says that he's already started saving money for the tools.
