TMC to host Right to Repair training webinar

July 10, 2018
The free webinar will start July 11 at 12 PM EDT.

The Heavy Duty Right to Repair Law and national Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) created the means for independent service providers to gain access to the same information and tools the Original Equipment Manufacturers provide to their franchised dealer networks, but what is the difference between the law and the MOU? What do technicians have access to, how do you get it, and what do you do when you can’t get the service and repair information you need?

ATA's Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) is hosting a free webinar series covering service information requests and Right to Repair training on July 11 at 12 PM EDT. Click here to register.

The session will have feature HDDA: Heavy Duty, a segment of the Auto Care Association, which will cover top-level details of Right to Repair so technicians know what information they should have at their disposal. Then, learn how the National Automotive Service Task Force Service Information Request can assist in alerting OEs about missing information, tools and training materials.

NASTF will also show viewers the process involved in filing a Service Information Request (SIR) so that NASTF staff can make OE inquiries.
