ACOFAS to hold DOT Safety Inspection Clinic

March 12, 2018
A former DOT Inspection Officer will demonstrate how to properly inspect a vehicle.

ACOFAS, in conjunction with Frame Service, Inc of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Barry Ernst, will hold a day-and-a-half presentation on properly inspecting a vehicle to DOT standards.

Andy Blair, former Pennsylvania Police/DOT Enforcement Officer and independent instructor, will present the sessions with a hands-on demonstration using actual trucks and trailers, and educate attendees in a classroom session on what enforcement officers are looking for.

"You can perform annual DOT inspections as a stand-alone service, or as a gratis service for customers when performing a major rebuild of their vehicle," ACOFAS officials say. "Either way, you can make sure your technicians are doing the job thoroughly so that your customer will not get an out-of-service violation after leaving your facility. "
