Turning in a presidential-type performance, James Monroe lit up the Christmas tree at the recent JEGS Allstars competition by taking first place in the Top Dragster class.
The annual event brings together the best racers in each category from all seven National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) divisions.
Monroe, who won while running on Mickey Thompson tires and wheels, is a former two-time JEGS Allstars Super Quick Champion.
He uses Mickey’s Pro 5 Double Beadlock Drag Wheel size 16X16 and ET Drag tire size 34.5/17.0-16 on the rear, and the Pro 5 Drag Wheel size 17x2.125 and the ET Front tire size 22.0/2.5-17 on the front.
In the final race, the contenders for the Top Dragster title included NHRA Division 7 champion Art Hoover. Monroe earned the top spot with a 6.755-second time at 192.08 mph. Hoover clocked-in at 194.46 mph with an ET of 6.839.
“It is very exciting to watch James earn this prestigious Top Dragster title in this competition,” reports Carl Robinson, Mickey’s motorsports manager.
