University of the Aftermarket, SEMA to accredit Industry Week online marketing conference

The University of the Aftermarket and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) have announced a first-ever collaboration: University of the Aftermarket accreditation of the SEMA “Online Marketing Conference,” an intensive, day-long business marketing workshop that will take place Monday, Nov. 2, in Las Vegas.

Industry professionals attending the conference will be able to earn continuing education units that can be applied to their AAP (Automotive Aftermarket Professional) or MAAP (Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional) certificates.

The Online Marketing Conference will offer a comprehensive analysis of the strategies and processes aftermarket businesses need in order to master Internet marketing, regardless of budget. Presenters include several of the biggest names in today’s online marketplace – Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer for Facebook; Mike Moran, chief strategist, Converseon; William Leake, CEO, Apogee Search; Dave Kerpen, CEO, The KBuzz; Brian Offenberger, CEO, Aftermarketer Club; and Perry Marshall, CEO, Perry Marshall & Associates.

“We have been looking for opportunities to work in partnership with SEMA in promoting the value of results-oriented industry education, and the Online Marketing Conference is an ideal fit,” says University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, AAP. “eMarketing is one of the most promising opportunities and pressing needs for today’s aftermarket organizations. This conference has much to offer to any executive who wants to master this crucial new business channel.”

Aftermarket professionals attending the conference will be able to earn 0.5 CEU that can be applied toward their AAP or MAAP certificate. All members of SEMA, the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) will be offered a special discount price for the event.

The University of the Aftermarket is an educational alliance of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association and is an operating unit of Northwood University. The University of the Aftermarket provides business, management and leadership education to professionals in the motor vehicle aftermarket through on-line, custom, conference, and partnership educational opportunities. Through these programs, the University awards CEU credit that can be applied toward completion of the aftermarket’s Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certifications.
