OTC, a Bosch Automotive Service Solutions brand, has added two tools designed to assist technicians in expediting the removal and replacement process of tie rods, ball joints and retaining clips.

The new Articles are the 2497 three-piece push pin/body clip pliers set and the expanded capacity 7503HD tie rod and ball joint remover.

The company says the OTC 2497 three-piece push pin/body clip pliers set can remove plastic body fasteners and retaining clips with ease in nearly any location. Each plier in the set offers different angled jaws, including straight, 45 degrees and 90 degrees to make obscure areas easy to access while providing maximum leverage to remove clips quickly.

The unique design lifts the center pin and pulls body clips without damaging the anchors, eliminating the need to provide replacement clips, according to the company. Technicians save money on replacements and increase their efficiencies in the shop. The set also comes with an OTC lifetime warranty.

The OTC 7503HD tie rod and ball joint remover is a universal heavy-duty puller with extensive usability and expanded pulling capacity. The tool removes a wide range of tie rods and ball joints from a variety of cars, trucks, SUVs and heavy-duty vehicles. Featuring three interchangeable tips including cone, flat and cup, the remover is applicable for multiple uses. Building on the capabilities of the original 7503, the 7503HD offers twice the force applied at 10-ton pulling capacity larger vehicle accommodations, according to the company.

The 2497 three-piece push pin/body pin set and the 7503 heavy duty tie rod and ball joint remover are both now available in North America through OTC’s distribution partners.
