    The Wolverine Thunderhead work boot is made with the company's CarbonMAX toe-cap and EPX technology. According to the company, the CarbonMAX toe-cap is 50 percent lighter than standard steel-toe caps and thinner for a better fit while meeting ASTM standards. The multi-layer construction of EPX technology conserves and returns energy with a stabilizing and cushioning midsole and a low density EVA foam footbed. The boot combines a breathable mesh and TPU upper with moisture-managing mesh lining to keep water out and feet dry. The Thunderhead has a low density EVA foam to cushion from heel to toe; a honeycomb heel that expands to absorb impact; and a ribbed spine designed for flexibility.
