    The DeWalt 20V MAX Battery Adapter works with most DeWalt 18V tools. With virtually no self-discharge, DeWalt's Li-ion compact and premium battery packs offer higher capacity and higher energy density compared to standard 18V NiCd and NiMH batteries without adding weight. With a collection of over 40 tools in the DeWalt 18V system, the adapter makes it possible to continue to use fully-functional DeWalt tools on the Li-ion premium battery platform. Available DeWalt 20V MAX Li-ion battery capacities include the 1.3Ah, 1.5Ah, 2.0Ah XR, 3.0Ah, 4.0Ah XR, and 5.0Ah XR. With the adapter, these six battery options, along with DeWalt’s 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah Bluetooth-enabled batteries, can now all be used with most DeWalt 18V tools.
