OTC releases coolant, pressure and vacuum tools

Sept. 10, 2018
Each tool is designed to prevent leaks while diagnosing various vacuum/pressure and cooling system issues.

OTC added four tools to aid in servicing cooling, pressure and vacuum systems. The  tools are designed to help technicians prevent damage and leaks when diagnosing issues, and aid in testing and monitoring the vehicle’s pressure/vacuum and cooling systems.

The tools are all covered by OTC’s lifetime warranty and are available now in North America.

The new tools are:

  • Vacuum/Pressure System Tester, No. 6975: The two-way vacuum/pressure system tester can diagnose leaks in pressure or vacuum systems immediately. The patented design includes an intuitive rotary dial and high-quality silicon hoses to allow for quick switches between pressure and vacuum test modes. The hose fittings also assist technicians in making quick hose/adapter setting changes, which are leak-free under pressure or vacuum. For optimal viewing, the integrated rear-mounted gauge tests up to 30 PSI pressure and up to 28 in Hg vacuum.
  • Cooling System Refilling Gun, No. 6976: The cooling system refilling gun incorporates deep vacuum technology to remove airlocks when refilling the cooling system, eliminating the need for system bleeding and interchanging hoses. With universal attachment onto most radiator and header tanks, the tool allows technicians to pull air out of the coolant system easily while new coolant is added without any spills or waste. The integrated vacuum gauge automatically tests for leaks, while the rubber cones suit both passenger and commercial vehicles with no adapter needed.
  • Universal Cooling System Pressure Test Kit, No. 6977: The new cooling system pressure test kit makes for a faster evaluation with a universal approach, by eliminating the search for the right cap adapter. The hand pump features an easy-to-read pressure gauge, with a padded base to prevent vehicle scratches, and a 36” pressure hose with quick-connect. The hose adapters use brass fittings for increased durability and includes a banded spring clamp for easy attachment. Each of the four adapters include a Schrader valve to prevent spray when disconnecting and come in four sizes: 1/4”, 5/16”, 1/2” and 5/8” in diameter.
  • TestVac Vacuum Test Kit, No. 6978: The vacuum test kit allows for fast and efficient testing and monitoring of many vacuum-operated components. The new kit helps technicians find vacuum leaks, test fuel, engine valves, exhaust valves, door locks and heating or cooling system performance. The kit allows for a one man brake bleeding job. The kit includes a vacuum pump, fluid container, transfer cap, hoses and fittings, all packed in a convenient and accessible blow molded case resistant to shop chemicals.

The new coolant, pressure and vacuum tools are now available through OTC’s distribution partners.
