Weego updates two major features on jump starter

Weego 66 now has an automatic boost feature to send maximum power to dead batteries, and the clamps now feature tapered tips to fit in tight spaces.

Weego, portable jump starter manufacturer, upgraded the Weego 66 Jump Starting Power Pack – a rugged 12V lithium-ion power solution.

The new-and-improved Weego 66 delivers the power needed to get cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, light-duty equipment, and more moving again. Weighing 2.5 lbs, Weego 66 is an practical and convenient solution. The four-in-one Weego 66, made for 12V gas and diesel engine systems, jump starts with 2500 peak amps and 600 cranking amps; is capable of bringing phones, tablets, laptops or other mobile devices back to life via 5V USB and 19V outputs; powers 12V portable accessories like air compressors and camping equipment; and provides ultra-bright lighting functionality with a 600-lumen dual LED flashlight, complete with emergency strobe and SOS functions.

After listening to consumers, including professional, high-frequency users, Weego 66 now includes AutoBoost functionality for extra-tough jump starting situations. With AutoBoost, Weego 66 automatically sends maximum power to dead batteries (batteries down to 1/2 volt) without an override button. This new feature eliminates all guesswork and is still safe for the user. In addition, the Smarty Clamps have been redesigned with tapered tips to fit in the tight spaces found in newer vehicles.

“We are super excited about these user-led updates to the 66,” Weego CEO Gerry Toscani said. “Adding the ability to automatically boost an almost unrecoverable vehicle battery means we are expanding the capabilities of the 66 and greatly increasing the success rate of jump starting a vehicle. By providing easier access to tight battery compartments, the new Smarty Clamps with tapered tips mean a quicker, easier and more reliable jump for a better user experience.”

The innovative, patented Smarty Clamps incorporate lights and sounds to guide users through the jumping process, and feature built-in safety protections including: anti-spark, reverse polarity, overheat and power surge protections. The ergonomic clamps open extra wide and are powered on both sides to ensure good connections.

“What continues to amaze everyone about Weego 66 is its power to weight ratio,” Toscani said. “Ninety percent lighter and 80 percent smaller than comparably-powered, traditional, lead-acid jump boxes, think of your Weego as an investment in a game-changing, compact, powerful, safer, and easier-to-use tool. Unlike those big, heavy jump boxes, the 66 is easy to maneuver, recharges 85 percent faster, and holds its charge three times longer. It is also versatile enough to be used every day to keep a phone or laptop charged or as a tactical-grade flashlight. When compared to jumper cables, to be honest, there is no comparison.”

Weego 66 is designed and engineered in the USA, IP65 rated for water, dust and dirt resistance, independently lab tested and backed by an 18-month warranty.

Weego 66 Jump Starting Battery Pack is newly packaged in retail-friendly, shelf-ready boxes. Packaging includes attention-getting graphics that call out a wider selection of compatible engine sizes than previous packaging
