The Boyd Group Inc. announced the opening of a new collision repair center in Portage, Ind. The location will focus on the repair of semi-trucks and large commercial vehicles, as well as recreational vehicles.
It was previously operated by Great Lakes Peterbilt, a large truck dealership, with which it shares a location. Portage is located about 40 miles southeast of Chicago and the center is in close proximity to Interstate 94.
"This is our fifth center that specializes in commercial vehicles and RVs," said Tim O'Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This new location will enhance our large footprint in metropolitan Chicago and will enable us to serve additional customers and further assist our insurance partners."
