ACD becomes member of ARA

Aug. 14, 2014
ACD, which provides insurance carriers with technology, appraisals, auditing and claims, is the newest member of the Automotive Recyclers Association.
The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) announced that ACD is its most recent associate member. Servicing over 225 insurance companies, ACD presents insurance providers with technology, top-quality auto damage appraisals, subrogation auditing and a team of highly skilled claims professionals. ACD delivers key information, decision support, auditing, consulting and serves to connect the links of the entire claims value chain. "We are pleased that ACD has joined the ARA," said CEO Michael E. Wilson. "For years, professional automotive recyclers have utilized successful associate partnerships to increase sales of recycled OEM automotive parts in today's ever expanding automotive parts marketplace. We look forward to working closer with ACD and other industry partners on initiatives that unlock even more market opportunities for our 4,500 members to sell quality, recycled OEM parts to consumers around the world." ARA strives to provide its members with the necessary training, tools, techniques and industry partners to effectively engage in the competitive automotive marketplace. Enhanced utilization of OEM recycled automotive parts in the collision and service repair market is crucial to the continued success and growth of the professional automotive recycling industry. "We recognize the leadership role that ARA serves in the professional automotive recycling industry," said ACD Director of Client Relations Barry Barbee. "We are excited to officially join the ARA and be part of an organization whose members deliver such high quality, genuine recycled OEM parts -- parts that will provide ACD clients a positive experience." Since 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) represents an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of “green” automotive parts, and the proper recycling of inoperable motor vehicles. ARA represents the interests of over 4,500 auto recycling facilities in the United States and fourteen other countries around the world. With programs such as the Certified Automotive Recycler Program (CAR), Green Recycled Parts, and other partnerships, ARA members continue to provide consumers with quality, low-cost alternatives for vehicle replacement parts, while preserving our environment for a “greener” tomorrow.
