Registration for the Women’s Industry Network Educational Conference is now open.
Registration for the 2014 Women’s Industry Network (WIN®) Educational Conference is now open at This year’s Power Up! event is scheduled for May 5-7 at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, CA. The program is packed with powerful speakers and also features a celebration of accomplished women in our industry.  “We are excited to open registration and give all women in the industry an opportunity to Power Up!” said Katie Henwood of Axalta Coating Systems who serves as WIN’s Conference Committee Co-Chair.  “Those in attendance will experience thought-provoking educational presentations and opportunities to learn from other women in the industry by exchanging ideas and experiences with them.”

The Conference will kick off with featured keynote speaker, Dr. Verna Cornelia Price, who will present The Power of You!, a message of personal and professional understanding and empowerment.   Colette Carlson, next up, will share her engaging message, The Hard, Cold Truth – Working Hard Isn’t Working.  The program also features Bridging the Generational Gap, The Increasingly Interconnected APD Ecosystem, and Keys to SuccessAdditional workshop sessions over the two and a half day Conference include The Green Revolution, Mastering the Muck of Your Technology, and Truth About Negotiation: A$K and You Shall Succeed.  Details about the program and featured speakers can be found at .  Click on “E-Brochure”

The Scholarship Walk, an annual tradition at the conference, will afford attendees a health break while supporting WIN’s Scholarship Program.  Additional special events include a Welcome Luau Dinner on the beach and the WIN Gala Dinner & Most Influential Women Ceremony. This is the inaugural year of WIN’s presentation of the MIW awards.  The gala dinner will recognize women for their leadership, vision and commitment to excellence both in their business and civic lives.  2014 will also usher in a new era of scholarships for WIN.  For the first time, WIN will award tuition scholarships to applicants from both secondary and post-secondary schools as the winners pursue their education in technical colleges across the country.  Some of those winners will be in attendance at the conference.

The cost of the Conference for WIN members is $400 before April 5th or $450 after April 5th. Non- members may attend for $650, annual membership fee is $75, and the cost for attending the MIW Award Gala only is $70.  “This is the first year conference attendance has been opened to non-members,” said Jessica Rob, co-chair of the Conference Planning Committee.  “Our hope is that our industry colleagues will join us for the 2014 Conference, get to know us, and will join the organization to help us promote our mission within their business community.” Hotel rates have been specially negotiated with Paradise Point and reservations can be made during the conference registration process.
