The HireRight 2015 Annual Employment Screening Benchmarking Report is based on a survey of 3,119 human resources, talent management, recruiting, security and safety and executive level professionals from more than 2,494 unique organizations. Data was weighted by organization to eliminate the bias that would naturally occur as a result of multiple respondents in a single organization. The majority of respondents (81 percent) indicated their organization conducts screening and 90 percent were familiar with the process of hiring and background screening. In addition, those who indicated they may not be familiar with a particular question or topic may have been excluded from some data presentations.
Of the total survey respondents, 19 percent indicated that their primary industry was transportation. The results that follow are only from transportation industry respondents, except when otherwise noted.
