National Highway Traffic Safety Administrationn (NHTSA) has proposed a new Federal Motor Safety Standard to require electronic stability control devices on large commercial trucks, motorcoaches and other large commerical vehicles, to help prevent crashes.

 

In this episode, Editor David A. Kolman talks with Fred Andersky, Director of Government and Industry Affairs at Bendix, about the two basic different types of electronic stability control options for commercial vehicles on the market today: ESP/ ESC, or Full Stability Technology, and RSP/RSC, or Roll Only Technology, both designed to help mitigate rollover situations.
