AssetWorks expands Electronic Logging Device (ELD) offering to include Driver Coaching

Nov. 28, 2016
Driver coaching provides real-time notifications to the driver to help correct undesired driver behavior, such as harsh braking and acceleration, idling and speeding.

AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet management software, announced the release of Driver Coaching as part of their Field Service Solutions product line.

Driver coaching provides real-time notifications to the driver to help correct undesired driver behavior, such as harsh braking and acceleration, idling and speeding. The system administrator can configure the undesirable driving behavior parameters, and the in-cab device emits behavior specific tones to the driver, so they know immediately that they are either about to be or are in violation of the company rules. When the vehicle stops, the violation details are displayed on the device in the cab.

“Driver coaching improves behind-the-wheel decision making and driver safety as it happens. It is a strong complement to our existing driver behavior management tools.” says Mike Koebel, Sales Director - Field Service Solutions division at AssetWorks. “In addition to the safety benefits, fleet managers will realize cost savings through an extra reduction in fuel consumption and reduction in accidents.”

In addition to driver coaching, AssetWorks Field Service Solutions combines in-vehicle Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and in-office software to meet the requirements of the ELD mandate. The product includes a single platform for electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection (eDVIR), field ticketing, dispatch, IFTA data collection, driver behavior score carding, lone worker monitoring and asset/trailer tracking.
