PeopleNet, a Trimble Company and provider of fleet mobility technology, and TMW Systems, a Trimble Company and provider of transportation management software, announced the winners of their 2016 Innovator of the Year awards.

The recipients were announced at the 2016 in.sight User Conference // Expo in Nashville, jointly hosted by PeopleNet and TMW Systems. The awards recognize customers of each company who have best leveraged technology through innovations in integration, custom-tailored applications, process implementation, training methods and more.

“As PeopleNet and TMW come together for our inaugural in.sight conference, it is imperative to highlight our exceptionally innovative customers,” said Rick Ochsendorf, executive vice president – Customer for PeopleNet. “This year’s recipients demonstrate the full potential of using technology to improve safety and performance in the transportation industry.”

In addition to recognizing PeopleNet and TMW-specific winners, a joint award was given to Solar Transport. Deploying technology solutions from both companies, Solar Transport has improved fuel economy, reduced order entry updates and enhanced driver safety through speed monitoring.

“Each TMW and PeopleNet Innovator of the Year achieved measurable business value through creative use of our solutions,” said Keith Mader, senior vice president – Enterprise Architecture for TMW. “These innovative companies are delivering real world improvements for drivers, executives, dispatchers, driver managers, back office personnel, system administrators and more. Transportation is very much a people oriented business, and each of these winners delivers for their people.”
