Ten students who are children and dependents of USA Truck team members have been awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year through the USA Truck Scholarship Program.

Each student received $1,000. This year's recipients are: Caitlynn Anderson (Ozarks Technical Community College, Springfield, Mo.); Taneisha Brown (Cottey College, Nevada, Mo.); Jarvis Davis (University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Miss.); Josiah Farr (Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, Mich.); Spencer Hart (University of Arkansas at Fort Smith); Jessica Harville (Walters State Community College, Morristown, Tenn.); Michael Harville (Walters State Community College, Morristown, Tenn.); Chelsea Hays (East Central College, Union, Mo.); Kamy Kershner (University of Arkansas at Fort Smith); and Valeria Toles (Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo.).

"USA Truck is honored to offer this opportunity to our team members and their families," said Burton Weis, vice president of human resources for USA Truck. "Higher education is crucial and costs are always a concern. We wish this year's scholarship recipients the best as they plan for their educational futures."

The program is offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice. Up to 10 awards of $1,000 each are granted to students attending a two-year technical college or vocational technical school and students attending a four-year college or university. Nationally recognized Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America, reviews the applicants and selects scholarship recipients.
