U.S. Navy Awards $1.75M contract to Agile Access Control, Inc.

Web-based system to launch at Naval Station Norfolk with potential to expand to other East Coast locations.

The U.S. Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic has named FleetCommander creator Agile Access Control, Inc. the winner of a $1.75 million IDIQ contract to provide a web-based vehicle reservation system as well as secure key control systems. The first location to be implemented will be the Naval Station Norfolk facility located in Norfolk, Va. The announcement was made today by Agile Access Control Inc., (Agile). Period of performance for the contract is set to commence December 1, 2012.

"FleetCommander's ease of use, quick implementation time, and proven customer service will enable NAVFAC to launch their initiative quickly and effectively. The magnitude of savings due to right-sizing and streamlining fleet management practices is very large. It is an honor to serve NAVFAC and to assist them in realizing these savings for the U.S. taxpayer."

Agile will provide labor, supervision, management, materials, equipment, engineering, and other support required for NAVFAC to launch the initiative. Work will begin at the Naval Station Norfolk facility, however, the contract allows for expansion to other locations under the purview of NAVFAC, including the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Naval Air Station Oceana, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, as well as to other East Coast locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Maine.
