Streamlight introduces ultra-compact Bandit Pro USB headlamp

Nov. 1, 2018
The USB headlamp features an extended run-time of up to 21 hours.

Streamlight Inc., a provider of high-performance lighting, introduced the new extended run time Bandit Pro, the ideal lightweight, hands-free work light for professional and consumer uses alike. Featuring the convenience of USB rechargeability, the new headlamp delivers an extraordinary 4.5 hours of run time on its highest setting, and also signals to warn that the battery is low.

“The Bandit Pro’s long run time and USB port for charging on the go are perfect for not only industrial and automotive technicians, but also for first responders as well as DIY and outdoor users,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “Whether making equipment repairs, peering under a car or truck hood, or doing home repairs, the Bandit Pro delivers on both brightness and run time. The light even blinks to alert users when there are five minutes or less of run time.”
Providing a steady, even beam at all times, the new headlamp offers a powerful 180 lumens and 4.5 hours of run time on High, and 35 lumens and up to 21 hours of run time on the Low setting. A large top button allows for easy actuation and switching between the High, Low and Flash modes.
The Bandit Pro uses a 950 mAh Lithium Polymer battery, sealed within the unit for service-free operation. It is rechargeable via a micro USB charging port. Red and green LED lights indicate battery charging status; charge time is approximately 3.5 hours depending on the USB charging source.
Featuring a Polycarbonate body and lens, the Bandit Pro weighs just 1.6 oz with the attached headband (1.7 oz with the hat clip adaptor) and measures 2.7" in length. The light is IPX4 rated for weather resistance and is impact resistance-tested to two meters.
The new light includes a handy snap-in hat clip adaptor to attach it to the brim of a baseball cap, or to adjust it further downward when using the headband. It is available in Safety Yellow and Black.
The Bandit Pro also comes in an Industrial model that includes a rubber strap as well as 3M Dual Lock re-closable fasteners for use on hard hats.
