Martin Sprocket expands to plastic products

Martin offers both injection molded plastic and machined plastic manufacturing

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is not only a producer of traditional power transmission products, material handling systems and components and industrial hand tools, but also has a wide range of plastics capabilities. Martin offers both injection molded plastic and machined plastic manufacturing.

Plastics are well suited for demanding and diverse applications such as food and beverage, waste water treatment, printing, chemical processing, and forest industries. Plastics are used in areas where contamination, corrosion or caustic environments prevent the use of metals. Some industries, especially the food industry, require FDA approved materials. Martin manufactures FDA approved plastics to meet those needs. Additionally, where weight reduction is of primary concern, plastics can also be a great problem solver.

Martin is willing and able to solve any customer's needs through its field force. Since some applications are very complicated Martin offers to quickly produce a low cost PVC template of a specific part to make sure it works well in the application before manufacturing a complete production run. Many plants must change out parts frequently to produce different types of products. Martin can produce plastics in a variety of colors to make it easy for machine operators to find the correct parts quickly and easily, avoiding downtime. Martin's plastics capabilities are virtually endless. If there is no print in hand Martin will visit on site to aid in reverse engineering.
