Generation III Battery Discharge Unit (BDU)

The Generation III Battery Discharge Unit (BDU) available from Automotive Research and Design comes as a microprocessor-controlled test unit that will test the energy and power capabilities of Ni-MH or Li-Ion based hybrid and electric vehicle battery pack systems. The unit can be used to test, analyze, and condition (cycle) a battery pack or for determining an accurate State-of-Health analysis. By directly connecting to the battery pack modules (or module groups) the BDU microprocessor system acquires data (data acquisition) that provides accurate battery pack SOH information that supports a Predictive Maintenance program by testing, rebuilding or conditioning battery pack systems.
