Steel lathe chuck shields

Dec. 19, 2012

Danray Products' heavy-duty steel lathe chuck shields can be used on lathes or similar machines. Lathe chuck shields serve two basic functions: first, they provide a safeguard between individuals and lathe related hazards including flying chips, sparks, coolant, lubricant and the rotating equipment of the machine itself. The shield hinges left and rests at a 30 degree angle above the headstock, making it easy to change the chuck. The operator does not need to reach over the chuck to move the shield into position. The front portion of the shield can also be hinged up to change the workpiece.
