Self-Propelled Balancing Unit (SPBU)

April 20, 2012

The Mechatronics Engineering "self-propelled balancing unit," or SPBU, for wheel balancers, eliminates all external AC or DC motors, direct drive AC motors, gears, power management boards, pulleys, spindles, drive-belts, wheel brake systems (using resistors or other methods) and complex wiring systems. The SPBU eliminates these maintenance issues by incorporating proprietary technologies that allow for extremely fast “floor-to-floor” times for any balance. Ensures wheel placement accuracy of +/- 0.035 degrees.

Librauto wheel balancer models available:

  • G1-200, with automatic rim and distance data entry.
  • G2-380 with automatic data entry, LCD touch-panel technology (using gloves) and SPL (smart position locator).
  • G8-200 truck wheel balancer, with automatic rim and distance data entry.
