The Streamlight Survivor LED is a lightweight, handheld light with a right-angle head designed for use in hazardous locations such as mines, fire scenes, underground utilities and petrochemical environments. It features the latest in C4 LED technology, with microprocessor-controlled high and low intensity modes, emergency flash and moonlight mode. The Survivor LED Alkaline recently received approval from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The MSHA rating is based on testing for safety in methane-air mixtures, a common environment for mine workers. The new rating applies when the Survivor LED is used with Duracell and Energizer AA alkaline batteries.
