Wera Tools has announced the availability of their Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers, Pre-Set Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers and Torque Indicators to provide you with accurate fastening torque. Each tool comes with Kraftform handles, which are ergonomically correct to give you a firm, comfortable grip. The company believes the Kraftform pistol handle has the capacity for high-power transfer and more turning power with less effort.
- The Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers can be modified in fine increments for controlled tightening, and the torque measurements are laser-marked for easy readings on either side of the tool. This series meets the following torque requirements: 0.3 Nm; 1.2 Nm, 1.2 Nm; 3.0 Nm, 5.0 Nm, 2.5 Nm; 11.5 in.-lbs., 11.0 Nm; 29.0 in.-lbs. and 25.0 Nm; 55.0 in.-lbs.
- Wera believes their Pre-Set Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers are ideal for applications that require consistent, accurate and repeatable torque, available in values of 0.3 Nm, 1.2 Nm, 3.0 Nm, 2.5 in.-lbs., 11.0 in.-lbs. and 25.0 in.-lbs. When pre-set torque values are acquired, the tool mechanically releases, and provides you with audible and tactile feedback by "slipping over." Although pre-set torque values should be checked with a certified torque test instrument, they can be changed by removing the cap off the handle and tweaking the setting nut with a nutspinner.
- The Torque Indicators measure torque values in which both a pre-set and non-adjustable torque are necessary, therefore helping to ensure the appropriate fastening torque for secure and easy tool changes. They're also useful to prevent screws from being over-torqued, and consequently damaged or destroyed during loosening.
