Exhausted Air Recycling System, or E.A.R.S.

Feb. 26, 2008

The Exhausted Air Recycling System, or E.A.R.S., is a tool system that provides a closed loop between the air compressor and the air tool by capturing the exhausted air from the impact wrench or ratchet, and returning it to the compressor. According to the company, this approach helps generate more tool power with less energy. Whether using an E.A.R.S. air tool, an E.A.R.S. compressor, or a retrofit kit for existing tools and equipment, company sources say tests have shown that energy consumption can be reduced by nearly 50 percent, and noise levels are reduced from 40 '#8211; 80 percent over conventional air tools. As an added bonus, your air compressor and power tools should last longer because the closed loop keeps moisture, dust, oil and other pollutants out of the compressor and air line. Now available in North America, the tool system was first released in Australia.
