New from Steelman is their EngineEAR® Elite, a compact diagnostic tool with dual modes of operation '#8211; noise detection and vibration detection. The electronic stethoscope can be used to amplify sound during diagnosis or verification of engine operation, while vibration detection can be used to pin-point faulty bearings, injectors or annoying squeaks and rattles. The vibration mode also allows for eliminating background noise with a mode selection switch, and a rotary volume control allows you to amplify sound as needed. A detachable, flexible wand with a bright, LED-illuminated tip provides an easier point of reference in dark, tight spaces
